Jul 19, 2010 The only thing missing was a video camera. I do own a Canon 40D, but it is not capable of recording video. This is where EOS Camera Movie Record comes in. EOSmovrec (which stands for EOS Camera Movie Record) was a program I stumbled upon when I searched on youtube for Canon 40D video hacks, as I had heard of this being done before.

matsichanmatsichan THREAD STARTER 36 posts Joined Mar 2006 | Hi S.Almajid, I think it's working with recent EOS camera with live view feature, but so far I only tested it with 450D. Just download the compressed file from the link above and extract it to a folder. After the extraction, there you’ll find a program named eos_movrec.exe. Make sure your camera are properly connected to PC and turned ON before running the program. Wait for a few moments until you see the preview movie display on the screen, the 450D's LCD remains blank. If you want to start capture then just hit WRITE button, if you finish then press STOP. The output filename of the video is out.avi in the current folder. LOG IN TO REPLY |

Modus Operandi First we need to prepare the camera: to put the phone to automatically extract, for example, AV or P, as the manual mode vyderki works neobnoznachno in LiveView. Further, if a memory card zabita files, clean it, or pull out completely, otherwise the camera long initialized when you connect and as a result of the program off on timed. Then, the lens vystavite manual focus, if he avtofokusny. Start the program, wait until the window display the image. If, instead, a message 'Can't initialize your camera! Check connection.', Then connect the camera to check the computer. If the problem persists, check whether your device supports LiveView. The author tested only on the Canon EOS 450D. Then hover the focus manually. But finding the time, click 'Write!', To stop recording, click 'Stop'. This will create a file 'out.avi' in the current directory.
